KJ SOMAIYA GD-PI EXPERIENCE
KJ SIMSR is one of the few institutes which have Case Study in their admission process. The Group Discussion is carried out on the given case.
There were 5 panels and each consists of 14 students. I was in panel 4 and no 10.
We were given a case on which we needed to discuss and provide solutions to it. The case was based on Mass cheating in J&K schools, How to tackle the scenario? At the end of the discussion, every student presented a summary to it.
Then we headed for Personal Interview.
It started with tell me something about yourself followed by some cross questions. They asked a few Civil Engineering questions and Why MBA & how it is related to my career. Some examples where I’ve shown leadership and finally it ended with some hobbies questions. It was a nice experience and I took the whole interview in the direction I wanted to take it. And then the results came and I converted PGDM CORE.
KJ SOMAIYA GD-PI TIPS
Taking lots of Mock tests and analysing it is one of the most important steps to improve your score but only after clearing your basic concepts. For GD, you need to be calm and don’t take extra stress. Just be comfortable and express your viewpoints and listen to others also. For PI, know yourself completely, I’m mean your strengths, weakness and how you are working on your weaknesses. Be very clear why you are going for an MBA and why now. Try to take the interview in your direction where your strengths lie. And last don’t be stressed, just take it as formal discussion and enjoy the experience.
