Indira VS Sri Balaji University VS PUMBA – The Mega Comparison

Indira VS Sri Balaji University VS PUMBA

This is a mega comparison of Top 3 MBA colleges from Pune Region – Tier 3 MBA college league. We are talking about PUMBA, Indira League and Balaji League.

  • Shree C.E Society’s Indira Institute of Management, Pune (MBA and PGDM)
  • Sri Balaji University, Pune (MBA)
  • Department of Management Science(PUMBA), Pune (MBA)

The topmost MBA institute affiliated to Pune University. The intake is 198 (180 + 18EWS). The course fee is Rs. 1.4 lakh.

The complete Indira League(MBA program)

The following Indira institutes are affiliated with Pune University and provide MBA program

  • Indira Institute of Management, IIMP

PUMBA has an advantage in terms of intake and fees. Indira comes close to Sri Balaji University in terms of intake. All the Indira league institutes in Pune have centralized placement procedure. The same logic applied for 4 institutes under Sri Balaji University tag.

Admission Process

One must go through MBA CAP rounds to secure admission for MBA course provided by PUMBA & Indira league.

A standard PGDM college admission process, that is shortlisting based on entrance exam performance followed with Group Discussion and Personal Interview for PGDM course provided by Sri Balaji University and Indira league. It will provide MBA degree but the selection process remains the same as earlier.

PUMBA has the best average placement record in comparison followed by Sri Balaji University and Indira league. When it comes to tier 3 MBA colleges, one must check the average placement record and median(if given). The highest package seems to be visually attractive but in-hand salary can be shocking.

Average Salary

(Rs. lakh/annum)

Highest Salary

(Rs. lakh/annum)

In comparison, the best destination is PUMBA for reasons like fees, intake and healthy placement statistics along with reputation it carries.

Sri Balaji is the next choice, value addition is the best when compared with PUMBA & Indira. It is known for its disciplined and strict curriculum which I think is required for MBA student in order to adapt to Corporate Dynamics.

Indira is also reputed institute, at times one can find both the institutes(SBU & Indira) carrying out Joint placement campus drive. Considering the fact that Sri Balaji University would be providing MBA degree from 2020, it gains an edge over Indira. Remember, both Indira and SBU will be similar in terms of companies visiting the campus and job roles offered.

The SBU has the highest intake followed by Indira. There will be opportunities but always remember that the total intake is high, placements are centralized therefore, you have to work hard to fetch those dream jobs.

If you are an outsider then please add accommodation and food charges to the list.

  12. Admin

No particular cut off barrier exists

  13. Admin

40 months of Work Experience, then go for all options including and above Welingkar. TAPMI, GIM, Great Lakes, etc. there are many. Don’t settle for less. CMAT score will restrict some good colleges that don’t accept this score for admission.
