Bank of Baroda partnered with Care Ratings for assessing the credit quality of small and medium enterprises (SME) customers. Bank of Baroda is a State-owned Bank. This partnership will help to grade the credit quality of the bank’s current and prospective SME customers.


  • NABARD approves loan for Punjab State Agricultural Development Bank

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has approved a loan worth Rs 140 crore at a low-interest rate to Punjab State Agricultural Development Bank (PSADB). These transactions are done to strengthen the economic condition of the bank.


  • Amazon India partnered with Eastern Railways

A multinational technology company(MNC) Amazon India has partnered with Eastern Railways to set up a pick-up kiosk at the Sealdah railway station in Kolkata, West Bengal.


  • Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved the combination proposal

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the proposal for the combination of Yum Restaurants (India) Private Limited (YRIPL) and Devyani International Limited (DIL).  DIL will acquire some Equity Shareholding and sell some KFC restaurants.


  • Paytm launched an all-in-one QR (Quick Response).

India’s digital payments company Paytm, has launched an all-in-one QR (Quick Response), point-of-sale (POS) device for merchants across India & SDK (software development kit) for third-party integration. This will help the businessmen to get unlimited payments across the country at zero percent fees through Paytm wallet, Rupay Cards & all UPI (Unified Payments Interface) based apps directly.


  • Reserve Bank of India (RBI) increased Insurance cover

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has increased the Insurance cover on bank deposits to Rs 5 lakh from Rs 1 lakh. The cover is provided by a fully owned subsidiary of the RBI, the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC).

The UPI is developed by the National Payments Corporation of India.
